The sixty-fifth session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW65)

The 65th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) will take place from 15 – 26 March 2021 in a hybrid format with mostly virtual meetings. Delegates of Soroptimist International (SI) will attend together with representatives from Member States, UN entities, and accredited non-governmental organisations (NGOs) from all corners of the world.

Priority theme: Women’s full and effective participation and decision-making in public life, as well as the elimination of violence, for achieving gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls;

Review theme: Women’s empowerment and the link to sustainable development (agreed conclusions of the sixtieth session)

Running alongside the official CSW events, the NGO Committee for CSW have launched a new Virtual Forum for 2021 where you can sign up for free to attend as an advocate!


Soroptimist International will be hosting a virtual and interactive Exhibit Booth, where live discussions will be held and delegates can find resources and materials. As an advocate, you can download the NGO CSW app on your smartphone or tablet and access the Forum from anywhere!
