Summary of CSW67 Agreed Conclusions

The Agreed Conclusions for the sixty-seventh session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW67) were confirmed by Member States on 17 March 2023. This year’s priority theme was “Innovation and technological change, and education in the digital age for achieving gender equality and the empowerment of all women and girls.” The document will be submitted to the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) in September for final agreement.

The Advance Unedited Version of the Agreed Conclusions, which is 26 pages long, was issued by the Bureau/Secretariat on 30 March 2023, and it can be found on the UN Women website.

We asked SI Advocacy Advisors Pat Black and Linda Witong to provide an easy-to-digest summary, which can be found at the link below. Pat and Linda identified three areas of particular concern: Education & Training, STEM/STEAM, and Gender-Based Violence, and suggested ways in which Soroptimists can take action in these areas.
