Soroptimist International Convention Dublin 2023

In July 2023, Dublin, Ireland will host the highly anticipated Soroptimist International Convention, with the theme ‘Challenge the Future’.

A convention like no other! After two years of isolation, of computer screens and separation, feel the joy of physically coming together with your international Soroptimist community at the 2023 Soroptimist International Convention in Dublin, Ireland July 27 – 29 2023. With a dedicated website – visit www.sidublin2023.com for news and updates.

A venue like no other! The Convention Centre Dublin with its lofty atrium is full of air and light, overlooking the river Liffey right in the heart of Dublin city centre. All necessary health and safety precautions will of course be taken but Dublin, and all of Ireland, is fully open, restriction and quarantine free, ready to welcome you.

A programme like no other! A panel of global speakers are waiting to inform and inspire you. Our theme is “Challenge the Future” and we hope to include speakers from each federation exploring the topics and challenges affecting the lives of women and girls today. A new initiative for this year’s convention will be our poster sessions, soroptimist groups from around the world will be invited to submit posters showcasing their ongoing initiatives, sharing their experiences with the entire community.

A city like no other! Explore cobbled streets, search for ancestors in EPIC museum, ride a steam train, dance a jig, and enjoy a pint of the black stuff to the strains of a fiddle and the beat of a bodhrán in Dublin’s fair city. Full of history, fun and music, this iconic city is bustling and alive, full of songs and stories and memories just waiting to be made.

We would like more detailed information about the pre/post trips, specifically how much walking; is there hiking involved; approximately what time do we get to the hotels in the evening? We wish to ensure we are able to keep up with the pace.

      Hi Kellie
I would be delighted to put you directly in touch with your fellow Soroptimist Carmel who is running the tours and she can give you detailed information – if you could e-mail my colleague Giselle at registration@sidublin2023.com we can put you in touch with Carmel directly.
I can say that all activity is moderate only, there is nothing too strenuous. Some days on the coach may be longer than others but otherwise it would be moderately active only. If you could contact that registration e-mail we can get lots of other information to you.
I do hope you decide to join us.
      Warmest regards
      Siobhan

I have a question….as an SIA Club we pay a Convention fee, don’t we? Does the Convention fee allow a Club President to attend or do they still have to pay a registration fee?

    • Siobhan O Hare 2 years ago 29 September 2022

      Hi Rita
I am not 100% sure of your particular Clubs fee structure but I do know that everyone who attends the convention must register via the convention website and pay a registration fee.
      You can register at https://sidublin2023.com/registration/
If you book early, you can avail of the most cost effective fee and best accommodation rates.
I do hope you will choose to join us in Dublin for this event.
For any other queries, do contact registration@sidublin2023.com and we will be delighted to assist you.
      Kind regards
