CSW62 Webinar – An Introduction

The sixty-second session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) will take place at the United Nations Headquarters in New York from 12 to 23 March 2018.

A Soroptimist delegation will join representatives of Member States, UN entities, and other ECOSOC-accredited non-governmental organisations (NGOs) from all over the world.

This year the priority theme will be ‘Challenges and opportunities in achieving gender equality and the empowerment of rural women and girls’.

SI will be hosting the first in a two-part webinar series, intended to inform and inspire Soroptimists in the run up to CSW62.

Past SI Programme Director, Hilary Ratcliffe and Past SI Director of Advocacy, Pat Black, will deliver the first webinar, ‘CSW – An Introduction’, giving a thorough overview of the Commission on the Status of Women.

Essential viewing for those attending CSW 2018, and of interest to Soroptimists in their advocacy work, the webinar will take place on Sunday 18 Feburary, 2018 at 6.00 PM (GMT).  There will be time for questions.
