A Closer Look at Leadership – Part Two

Brought to you by Ulla Madsen, Chair of the SI Leadership Development Committee.

In the second part of our series ‘A Closer Look at Leadership’, we hear from SI Director of Advocacy 2015-2017, Pat Black, SI Assistant Director of Advocacy 2015-2017, Sharon Fisher, and from Bette Levy, Marie-D’Amato-Rizzi and Frances Zainoeddin, SI UN Representatives in New York.

Pat Black discusses her leadership role and the tremendous opportunity she has representing SI on the international platform. Pat speaks of the valuable work of Soroptimists taking place at a local and national level, and how this feeds into SI’s international work, and contributes to the Sustainable Development Goals.

Sharon Fisher speaks of her leadership journey and her current positions as Assistant Director of Advocacy and Chair of the International President’s Appeal 2015-2017.

SI encourages UN Representatives to take leadership roles in committees, giving them a platform to advocate on behalf of women and girls and increase the profile of Soroptimist International. Bette Levy, Marie-D’Amato-Rizzi and Frances Zainoeddin take time out from an extremely busy CSW61, to introduce themselves, and to talk about their day-to-day activities in New York and each of the committees they are involved with.
