UNIDO is the specialized agency of the United Nations that promotes industrial development for poverty reduction, inclusive globalization and environmental sustainability, working to improve living conditions for communities in need. UNIDO provides services in support of reducing poverty through productive activities, trade capacity building, fostering environmental sustainability, and improving access to energy. SI helps to mainstream gender in UNIDO’s activities, technical assistance, and policy setting. Our Reps in Vienna also ensure that clubs around the world are privy to best practice and new innovations in improving living conditions and environmental sustainability shared through the knowledge forums at UNIDO. SI holds consultative status with UNIDO.
