SI Programme Blog

This BLOG is a flexible and modern tool that will help us get programme information to Soroptimists quickly. We plan for you to get postings 'from the field' of activities as they are happening including Sierra Leone during the Study Tour, UN Events, and information from your Programme Focus reports.

We look forward to getting responses and ideas from you about service! Please keep us busy with 'postings'!

The blog forms part of our plan to enhance and expand our information sharing capacity.

Please be a frequent visitor and feel free to send ideas or questions to our address.

A Global Voice, a Focused Vision

As Soroptimists we are A Global Voice for Women. We have achieved this by working together toward our common goal: A better world for all, by making it a better world for women and girls.

The 2007-2011 Programme Focus is our blueprint for awareness, advocacy and action. It was developed to ensure that we as Soroptimists continue to be A Global Voice for Women.

Every Soroptimist's Focus

The 2007 - 2011 Focus is the result of a year-long consultative process to which Soroptimists from around the world contributed. Its final form and content was ratified by the votes of representatives from all four Soroptimist International Federations at the 2007 International Board Meeting in Glasgow, United Kingdom.

Focus on the Focus

The first step is for clubs to choose which goal or goals to focus on and then which objective or objectives. The next step is to develop the strategies that work best in your community to achieve your chosen goals and objectives.

The Programme Focus Team: Here to Help You

The Soroptimist International Programme Team (the Programme Director, her Assistant, your Federation Programme Director/Liaison, and SI HQ) are ready to assist you with ideas and suggestions for developing successful strategies for awareness, advocacy and action.
